1st Month

Wow- I am a slacker and I still haven't figured how to work this the way I want to yet. Anyway a lot has happened since last post. I had baby Hatcher on March 9th. He was 12 days late but worth the wait. He is such a joy! The first 2 1/2 months he was such an easy baby. He would fall asleep wherever I took him. He didn't have colic or acid reflux. We were so lucky.
Greg took off to Alaska when he was 2 weeks old for 3 whole weeks. That was crazy. I think I went 4 days without showering one time. I didn't worry about cleaning the house. My only concern was Hatcher (and pretty much still is :)  I have so much respect for single moms. I have no idea how they survive.

Hatcher loves his Binky. Probably because we always are shoving it in his mouth. He loves to breastfeed now that we got the hang of it. He started smiling around 2 1/2 weeks and hasn't stopped. He coos and laughs all the time. He sleeps 7-9 a night. Sometimes waking up to feed once. He is the sweetest baby I have every met. We are so lucky to have a happy, healthy baby.
Don't get me wrong, it was an adjustment. Breastfeeding was super stressful at first. I went to 3 lactation consultants just to get on the right path. It is super hard to make anytime for yourself. If you do, you feel guilty (or I did). But in the end I would not trade my life with anyone. He is my world, my life and my love!

Week 30

WOW I am really just starting to POP out. I have been so lucky during my pregnancy. I haven't had morning sickness or any of the terrible symptoms preggers get sometimes. Sometimes I forget that I am pregnant because I feel so normal. I really thought I was going to be just like my sister who was sick throughout both her pregnancies. But Greg told me that I was tougher than her :0 I don't really believe that, but I am so lucky to have had such a wonderful pregnancy.
We have been slacking on taking pregnancy pictures. Our lives have been a bit crazy with the move back home plus looking for jobs and getting our house in order. Here are a few we got throughout our craziness.

Flake Clothing

My husband & I are proud owners of a small business name Flake Clothing. Our mission statement is .for the snow minded. If any of you know my husband, then you understand his amazing passion for Snowboarding. He is by far the most talented, artist and business savvy man I have ever met. I am very lucky to be partners in this venture.
Our logo is a picture Greg took of us on a chairlift. It is our shadow against the snow. It is one of the sweetest logos I have seen. We call it True Love.
Starting a business is not all roses. We have put in many hours and lots of money for the many years. Now we are excited to see the benefits come to us.
Our company really started to flourish when we were living in Girdwood, Alaska. We put some Trucker Hats, Stickers and a few Shirts in a boutique Babes in the Woods. All of a sudden we started seeing our hats all over town. It is the sweetest feeling to see that someone appreciates your passion enough to represent it.
This summer we made our move back to SLC. We spent 6 weeks traveling around to ski resorts and snowboarding shops introducing our company. I am the sales rep so I would go into the shops and drop off our catalog and give out some samples. It was pretty nerve wrenching sometimes. Some of these owners are TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL and I it would get out right nervous and intimidated by them. It was such a great learning experience for me. I was out of my element but managed to kick some butt. We ended up visiting around 40 shops. Plus we made a vacation out of it. We would camp out as much as we could. Some nights we would stay in motels but I preferred camping since we hadn't been in warm weather for 2 years.
Now we are living back in our house in SLC trying to get back in the groove. We are now in Milo Orem (which is one of the biggest Snowboarding stores) If anyone wants to invest in our company we are only asking for $10,000. ;)

I got Greg a Mon-Thur pass at Brighton Resort. I have been trying to go up when he does and get some snowshoeing in. We went today and it was a beautiful sunny day! One of our dreams is to someday live up Big Cottonwood Canyon. We are always looking at cabins for sale.
While I was snowshoeing the other day, I came across one of the cabins that has been for sale for over a year. It is such a great cabin. What really made me think we could pull it off was the two neighbors right next to that cabin are currently living there. That means that we could live there year round as well if we did some major preparing.
On my snowshoeing trek today, I went back by the cabin. It is perfect size, super cute, and has a great location. The snowshoeing path is right behind the cabin. You can can walk or snowshoe to Brighton in 10-15 minutes. Greg says we could probably snowboard home from the Evergreen Run!
Being up in the Canyon with the beauty and fresh air make me feel so happy and safe. It get depressing driving back down in the smog. Now that we are back from Alaska, we can really focus on making our dream come true.

Baby Sperry

Baby Sperry has been moving around for over to two months. Two nights ago the baby felt like he/she got twice as big. It was such a cool feeling. I already love feeling the little punches and kicks but now it feels like the baby is growing at crazy speed! It feels like someone is rolling oranges inside my belly. I love it more than anything.
Baby Sperry is most active when Daddy is holding my belly. The baby loves his daddy and the warmth of his strong hands. I have a feeling this baby is going to be a daddy's girl/or boy.

I start work this week. It has been nice to have a break but I am ready to get back to making some money. It is going to be a fun job. I am managing at the Snowed Inn Restaurant at PC Resort. You have to get sleighed in on a horse to a Yert. There we wine and dine you. I hope I will have enough energy to get me through the night. So far I have not swelled up. Hopefully my feet can hang without swelling too big. I will let you know :)

Third Trimester

In three days I will start my third trimester of my first pregnancy. I can't believe we will have a baby in three months. Some days I wish it were sooner and others I feel like we need more time to get ready for the little munchkin.
I am starting this blog thanks to my sister-in-law Cynthia Fuessel who for the past year as posted on her blog almost everyday. She has a 14 month beautiful baby girl Leila. She is going to turn her blog into a book for her daughter. I think that is such an amazing idea, I am going to try and follow in her footsteps. http://foosex2.blogspot.com/
Yesterday was Thanksgiving and I was so excited to EAT! We get a text at 8 a.m. from Cyndo saying that 3 out of the 7 peeps at the in-laws have the flu. No Thanksgiving for us. I made some Chicken Noodle Soup and we headed over to the in-laws to pick up Leila. I didn't go in the house because I don't want to get the flu (being 7 months preggo). It actually turned out to be a super fun night. We got to be a part of Leila's first sleep over. Here are some pics that Uncle G took.
